Twice per month we order 7,500 lbs. of fresh food from Second Harvest Gleaners and distribute it in the parking lot of St. Patrick Catholic Church to people in need within our community. See below for dates and time. HOW CAN I HELP WITH THIS MINISTRY? The objective of this ministry is to offer love and hope to people who are struggling to make ends meet. If you would be willing to assist us in handing out this food or in helping people carry the food to their cars, please contact Leah at 846-2701. CAN I FINANCIALLY SPONSOR ONE OF THESE TRUCKS? (Click for more info) YES! In fact, there are several dates left in 2007 that have not been financially supported. Twice per month we distribute 7,500 lbs of fresh food from Second Harvest Gleaners. WHERE: St. Patrick’s Catholic Church TIME: 10:00 a.m. – until the food is gone. WHO: Anyone in need of food. *WHAT IS COMMODITIES? Commodities is different from the Gleaners Food Truck. Commodities is a government, food program to help low income families in Ottawa County. To participate in this program you must provide proof of Ottawa County Residency. Food will be distributed from St. Patrick’s Catholic Church/Family Center.
