Appliances Needed

What if your washer broke and you don't have money to go to the laundry mat?  What if your stove broke and you don't have the money to fit/replace it?  How would you cook dinner for your family?  Love INC provided basic appliances to people from our community that is in need. Love INC's immediate needs for our furniture ministry are the following items:

• Washers
• Gas and Electric Dryers
• Gas and Electric Stoves
• Refrigerators

This ministry provides the following items to clients in need.  The appliance ministry request donations are clean and in working order. Note on cleaning:  Our donation warehouse does not have running water to clean appliances and our clients may not have the money to purchase cleaning supplies.  The ministry ask that donations are cleaned prior to receiving the donation.  Note on working order:  Our warehouse does not have the correct outlets to test the appliances that are donated.  The ministry ask that donations are in working order to protect our clients.  An example, if a refrigerator is donated, it is not in working order and we give it to the client, the client could loose what little food they have

Computer Towers with XP Operating Systems Needed

Computers are the advantage nowadays, and if you don’t have one, you’re automatically slated as behind.  Love INC gives away refurbished computers for people who are unable to afford a new computer.  Love INC takes computer donations and cleans off the hardware.  We then provide them to clients in need. We currently have a generous surplus of monitors and keyboards. We are currently in need of computer towers loaded with the Mircosoft XP operation system or newer that have Microsoft suite installed.  These systems are need for on-line classes.  We also need Windows 2000 or newer for basic users.

Furniture Items

Needed Can you imagine your children sleeping on the floor or not having a dresser to put their clothing in? What if you just lost everything due to circumstances? What would you do? At Love INC, we will provide basic furniture to people in need.

Help us stock our shelves with Helper Mixes and Pasta Sauce

In 2009, Love INC served over 3,100 families; this is a lot of mouths to feed. There are several things in our pantry that we are frequently low on or don't receive in quantities needed to provide to people in need. Two items in particular are Helper Mixes and Spaghetti Sauce. Our goal is to collect 3,000 - 5,000 units of each item. Many times you will see these on sale for $1.00 each. When you see these things on sale, please consider purchasing a few extra or even several cases to help us reach our goal.

Each month we will change our goal to accommodate the different seasons, (summer vacation, winter, holidays, etc.). Our request will be items we frequently run out of and we see empty shelf space where we stock these items. So, visit our website often and share in the blessing of feeding people in our community. Please know, regardless of what our goal is for each month, we have never been able to keep enough Helper Mixes on our shelves. Please contact Jeanette Laarman at (616) 846-2701 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. May and June Goal:  Canned Pasta: Raviolis, O's, etc.- While parents are at work, children need items that are is easy to fix.  We have plenty of soup from the generosity of Bay Valley Foods

Recycle Used Ink Cartridges at Love INC

Ink cartridges are constructed out of plastic, petroleum-based products and take about 1,000 years to decompose. According to recent estimates, 20-40% of ink cartridges are recycled, meaning 60-80% end up in landfills. The recovery and reuse of empty printer cartridges diverts millions of cubic feet of material from waste disposal, saving us the millions of tax dollars needed to pay for additional landfill management. Diapers Size 4, 5, 6 or Pull-Ups Needed - to help Parents in Budget Counseling

Many people today struggle with how to manage their personal finances. Love INC recognizes this and offers help for those who desire to learn how to manage their money responsibly. Our program consists of two parts: a class and one-on-one budget counseling. In the class, clients view Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace DVD series—a series that covers all aspects of personal finance. The class also includes a time for questions and discussion. It’s a great opportunity for families to share what they’re going through and to support one another as they work toward getting on track financially. In addition to the class, clients get to meet one-on-one with their own personal budget counselors, who teach them how to create and stay on a budget. Our budget counselors also act as their accountability partners, offering them not only help but also hope along the way.

When clients take advantage of this life changing opportunity, Love INC tries to provide a variety of items that may not be easily available. Large size diapers is one of these items. Currently we do not have any diapers in sizes 4, 5, 6 or pull-ups. If infants and toddlers are your passion, please consider making a donation of diapers.

Love INC is very frugal with the money received from individuals, groups, churches and businesses. Love INC's desire is to utilize these resources in accordance with God’s will. Our budget is created with operation expenses in mind; however, if we could receive the following items in donation form, this would free up these funds for different ministries as we grow. Please consider making a donation from the following list:

Love INC provides food to an average of 30 - 40 families per day.  We have 6 different pantries to accommodate people in need. Please consider making a donation of one or more of the following items:

We are in desperate need of CLEAN twin size mattresses.

Since November, there have been clients waiting to receive a twin size mattress. If you have a CLEAN twin size mattress you are no longer using, please consider donating it to Love INC, as we have people in the community who are sleeping on the floor. 

The furniture ministry is also in need of dressers and kitchen tables/chairs.
