Main Office Volunteers

Love INC is growing at a rapid pace. To run an efficient office, it takes many different people with different gifts from God. If you have extra time on your hands, we would love to talk with you about different volunteer opportunities at our main office. If you want to be where Jesus would be and share his love and grace, this might be the place. Not only can you make a difference, you can personally touch someone's life.

Receptionist

We are in need of receptionists. You should be willing to commit to one 1/2 day shift per week or to be on call as a fill in.  Receptionist shifts run Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 12:30 and 12:30 - 5:00. We also have evening shifts from 5:00 - 8:00 and a Saturday shift from 8:30 - 12:00. We are looking for reliable people to cover permanent shifts; as well as occasional fill-in help. The receptionist is the first person both and donors see as they come through our doors. If you have a cheerful personality and are kind and caring, love people and can answer the phone in a friendly manner then might be the position for you! Counselors

We are in need of counselors. You should be willing to commit to one 1/2 day shift per week or to be on call as a fill in.  Counselor shifts run Monday - Friday from 9 - 1 and 1 - 5.  We also have Thursday evening shift from 5:00 - 8:00 and a Saturday shift from 8:30 - 12:00. We are looking for reliable people to cover permanent shifts; as well as occasional fill-in help. As a counselor you need to be a good listener with a kind and caring compassionate and full of grace.  If interested in serving please contact Kathy McGraw at (616) 846-2701 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Budget Counselors

Through our Loving Connections Budgeting Program, we teach families the sound principles they need to know for successful money management. Our budget mentors work one-on-one with clients, teaching them how to create and stay on a budget. They also act as accountability partners, offering clients encouragement and hope along the way. Cleaning Crew

Nursing Home Sunday Service

This ministry provides Sunday, afternoon services to 8 different senior homes.  This service is provided for those who have health conditions and can no longer attend their church.  We are looking for volunteer churches, retired pastors, seminary students or individual that would enjoy conducting a Sunday service, playing music or singing.  His ministry is headed by Dee Podehl.  For more information on conducting a service or providing music, please contact Dee at (616) 842-0062 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Prayer Warrior

With over a couple hundred volunteers and even more clients, we are in need of people that have the gift of prayer.  We have a prayer box in our lobby for clients to drop prayer request in.  We also have a large family of volunteers.  God has blessed us with an abundant amount of people and we would love to share the opporunity with you to pray for them.  To be included on our prayer list, all you need is an e-mail address.  Kathy will forward prayer request from our prayer box or as they are received from individuals.  If you do not have an e-mail address, you can always stop in and check the prayer box.  If you are a person that enjoys blessing people with your prayers, we want you to a Prayer Warrior for Love INC.  Contact Kathy at 616-846-2701 or via e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. The General Store

If you are interested in retail and working with a group of fun, loving people - The General Store would be a great place to volunteer!  Not only are you surrounded with people that make a difference in others lives, you will see the difference they make in yours. 

There are many opportunities, such as cashier, greeters, processing incoming donations, pricing, hanging clothing, sorting, creating displays, seasonal displays, reworking floor, organizing clothing on the sales floor, cleaning, etc.  To volunteer or find our more information, contact Kathy McGraw at (616) 846-2701, via e-mail at kathy@loveinctricities.org.

The Laundry Hub

This ministry serves clients who have no laundry facilities and no appliance hook-up available where they live. The Laundry Hub Ministry provides five washers and five dryers that these clients can use to get their laundry done for free. Those who volunteer for this ministry work a four hour shift throughout the week.   You can choose the day that fits into your schedule best.  Their mission is to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide friendly fellowship for our clients. If you have the gift of hospitality, this volunteer position could be perfect for you. The Transportation Ministry

The Transportation Ministry provides clients with rides to and from appointments within the West Michigan area. Our volunteer drivers are able to choose which days and times they are available and how far they wish to travel. They are usually given three days notice for any assignment, and upon taking an assignment, they are also provided with all the pertinent information they will need to carry out the task. If you love serving others and enjoy meeting new people, this could be just the ministry for you.
