One way might be talking over cove-fee or a meal; time with the resident is a key component. Over time they will open up and use the mentor as a person for advice and to pray with about different issues. They usually meet once a week.
Harbor Hall Resident Assistant
A Resident Assistant is a man who provides reminders for the men to keep on schedules at night or on the weekends. He is also investing his life in them by whatever means possible. Some men sit and talk, play pool or ping pong, or work in the kitchen on a meal. They function as the Pro-gram Manager's eyes and ears when he unable to be there. They volunteer as often as once per week or May-be once a month in an evening. Weeknight shifts are from 5:30-11:30 and weekend is 8am-4pm & 4pm-11:30pm.

We also have a large family of volunteers. God has blessed us with an abundant amount of people and we would love to share the opporunity with you to pray for them. To be included in our list of people who are willing to pray, all you need is an e-mail address. Diana will forward prayer requests from our prayer box or as they are received from individuals.
